Ceramide NP + Cholesterol + Fatty Acids: The blend of these skin-identical ingredients are known to help repair the skin barrier. They are natural components of the stratum corneum (aka the skin barrier) and play a critical role in keeping our skin barrier healthy.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil: Jojoba oil is a unique plant oil due to its high wax esters content which makes it similar to natural human sebum. Jojoba oil moisturizes and helps with skin barrier repair.
Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil: Rosehip oil is rich in linoleic acid, an important component to maintain the integrity of the skin barrier. Rosehip oil is also a potent antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties.
No fragrance, essential oils, and colorants. Cruelty-free. |

Pairing Barrier Defender
The Barrier Defender is designed to be light, yet moisturizing. Use it as a moisturizer or serum, whichever way you like, depending on your skin’s need at any particular time.
If you have very dry skin, you may want to use it as a serum and layer it with a heavier cream afterward.
If you have oily skin, you may want to use it as a moisturizer.
Directions
Apply 1 pump (or as needed) on clean skin. Suitable for daily use, day and nighttime. At daytime, follow with sunscreen as the last step.
Packaging Material
For the packaging of the Barrier Defender, we opt for an airless pump packaging for two reasons: (1) It protects the content from oxidation so that it lasts longer; (2) The springless pump system is easier to recycle than traditional pumps.
The bottle is made of polypropylene (PP), while the cap and pump are made of HDPE, both of which are widely recycled globally.
Plastic recyclability varies depending on the plastic types and local recycler's capacity, but PP and HDPE is one of the most widely recycled plastic globally.
Our box is made of recycled cardboard and paper.
How to recycle
Clean out the residual content (if any) with water and separate the bottle from the pump before throwing them into the recycling bin.
Sensitized skin that is prone to an outbreak, flushing, itchy, and stinging sensation could be a sign of an impaired skin barrier.
It could be something you are born with or acquired over time due to neglect, overuse of products, or other environmental factors.
The Barrier Defender is formulated to help your skin barrier recover to its healthy and more resilient state.
